About GMAC
GMAC — Global Medical Air Crew — has been providing medical crews for aeromedical operations since the early 2000s. We are a team of physicians and nurses with backgrounds in intensive care, emergency medicine, and pre-hospital care, including experience from helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) and fixed-wing air ambulance operations.
Our role is focused: we deliver the medical component of aeromedical missions. Not the aircraft, not the logistics — but the clinical expertise, the procedures, and the medical quality systems that make safe patient transport possible.
Our approach
Aeromedical medicine is a specialised field. The combination of altitude physiology, confined spaces, limited resources, and critically ill patients demands a particular kind of clinical discipline — calm, systematic, and experienced.
We have developed our medical protocols and procedures over more than two decades of operational work. We take documentation and learning seriously. Every mission is an opportunity to reflect, improve, and develop — not just to deliver.
We do not describe ourselves as elite or world-class. We try, every day, to deliver stable, safe, and experienced medical care. That is what we are here for.
Collaboration
We work as an integrated medical partner for Smuuthcare. They coordinate the mission. We deliver the medical capability.
A successful aeromedical mission depends on many parts of a chain working well — pilots, dispatch, ground handling, receiving hospitals, and the medical crew. GMAC is one part of that chain. We respect the whole of it.
Quality and accreditation
GMAC operates within the framework of EURAMI accreditation — the international standard for aeromedical transport providers. This reflects our commitment to structured, audited, and continuously developed medical quality. Accreditation is not a marketing claim. It is a working framework.
