Medical services
GMAC delivers the medical component of aeromedical missions — from crew deployment to clinical protocols, in-flight patient care, and medical quality documentation. We work within Smuuthcare's operational structure, providing the medical layer that makes each mission clinically sound.
Medical crew deployment
Experienced physicians and nurses selected for each mission based on the clinical profile of the patient and the operational requirements of the transport. Our crew holds backgrounds in intensive care, emergency medicine, anaesthesia, and pre-hospital care — with specific experience in the aeromedical environment.
Clinical protocols and procedures
Structured medical protocols developed and refined over more than 20 years of operational experience. Our procedures cover patient assessment, monitoring, pharmacology, emergency interventions, and handover — all adapted to the specific challenges of the aeromedical environment.
In-flight patient care
Continuous clinical assessment and management throughout the mission. This includes haemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, sedation, analgesia, and interventional capability — adapted to patient acuity and transport duration.
Medical documentation and quality
Systematic documentation of each mission, including clinical data, interventions, and outcomes. We use this data for internal audit, medical review, and continuous improvement of our protocols and procedures. Documentation is not administrative overhead — it is how we learn and improve.
Patient complexity
We handle a range of patient profiles, from stable long-distance repatriation to critically ill patients requiring advanced life support throughout the transport.
- Adult critical care (ICU-level transport)
- Post-operative and post-intervention patients
- Neurological and cardiovascular emergencies
- Paediatric and neonatal transport
- Long-range repatriation — intercontinental
